Description

These are three 18th-century lime-washed brick cottages on Hale High Street. They are single-storied with attics, sharing a common slate roof. Each cottage has four chimneys with heavy, corbelled caps, and four small gabled half-dormers are built into the roof. The ground floor has four small casement windows, and three panelled doors, each set within a lattice timber porch. Number 57 features a shallow bay supported by corbels, providing a lean-to roof over the window and door.
