Description
The building is a farm structure, specifically a shippon, stable, and cartshed, located 10 metres southeast of Poplar Tree Farmhouse. It dates from around 1800 and is constructed of coursed rubble sandstone and brown brick. The roof has been replaced with corrugated asbestos. The building is L-shaped; the right wing features a pitching eye for the hayloft in the gable and two more on the left side. The left wing, made of stone and brick, includes external stone steps in the corner. The doors and casements have been altered at various times, but these changes remain in keeping with the building's character. It is listed for its group value.
