Description

ALVANLEY C.P. HELSBY ROAD SJ 47 SE North East Side 4/8 Shippon, stable and cartshed 10 metres south-east of Poplar Tree farmhouse. GV II Farmbuilding, formerly shippon, stable and cartshed, circa 1800, of coursed rubble sandstone and brown brick. Roof replaced in corrugated asbestos. L-shaped; right wing (as seen from farmhouse) has pitching eye to hayloft in gable and 2 in left side. Left wing, of stone and brick, has external stone steps in corner. Doors and casements altered at various periods, but in keeping. Listed for group value only.
