Description

This is a milepost located on London Road in Northwich, dated 1833. It is made of cast iron and features a circular post with an ogee-domed top. The curved plate on the post displays the distances: "NORTHWICH 1 MILE. MIDDLEWICH 5 MILES. SANDBACH 10." At the base of the post, there is a raised oval plaque that has the date 1833 in the center, with the name "LEFTWICH" above it and the initials "W.E.M." below the date.
