Description
The Old Parsonage is a rectory built around 1880, designed in the style of John Douglas. It features red Ruabon brick laid in English garden wall bond and has a Lakeland slate roof with two brick chimneys. The building has a symmetrical two-storey, three-bay front. A dentillated and moulded brick band runs along the first floor. The central bay projects slightly and is topped by a gable with a finial. It contains a three-light brick mullioned window with depressed ogee heads and hood moulds. Above, there is a similar two-light window set in a white stuccoed gable. A board door with strap hinges is located on the left side. The end bays have matching two-light windows below and single lights above, featuring red brick diapering with stucco infill. The building is included for its group value.
