Description

Oulton Millhouse is a mid-to-late 18th century millhouse located on Pool Bank in Little Budworth. The building is constructed of brown Flemish bond brick, topped with a slate roof. It is two storeys high with an attic. The front of the building has three bays arranged symmetrically. A central, gabled glazed porch was added in the 20th century. Ground floor windows are three-light casements with cambered heads, positioned to either side of the porch. Similar lateral windows are present on the first floor, with a central two-light window. The rear elevation features a central ribbon staircase window. A 20th century half-glazed door and a two-light cambered casement window are positioned to the right of this staircase window. A three-light cambered headed casement sits at ground floor level to the left. Two first floor two-light cambered headed casement windows complete the rear elevation. A 19th century extension is situated on the left side of the building.
