Description
Huxley's and flat is a house and shop dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed of Flemish bond brown brick and features a grey slate roof. The building stands three storeys high and has two windows. The original door has been replaced with a door situated between canted bay shop windows that have seven narrow panes of full height, likely from the mid-19th century. This door is framed by pilasters that support a modillion-eaved canopy on ornate cast iron consoles. The middle storey contains 12-pane flush sash windows, while the upper storey has six-pane flush sash windows, all featuring wedge lintels and projecting cills made of painted stone. The interior has not been inspected.
