Description

Fishersgreen Farmhouse is a farmhouse dated 1693, with significant later additions and alterations. It is constructed of chipped and washed red sandstone, topped with a graduated Welsh slate roof and features a large central ridge chimney. The building has a square four-room plan with a former lobby entry and a two-storey symmetrical three-bay front. There is a plain band at the first floor level. The end bays contain three-light tall wooden casements with glazing bars, set under original eyebrow label moulds, with the upper lights located in gabled half dormers. A central gabled porch features a four-panelled door and lights on each side. Above the porch is a date plaque inscribed with "16 R 93 R R M A LW M."

On the left side, there is a lean-to extension, and more typical hood moulds are present on the gable ends. The rear of the farmhouse has undergone considerable piecemeal extensions. Inside, two chamfered ceiling beams remain.
