Description
Uplands Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from around 1700. It has a rendered exterior, likely on sandstone, and features a steep-pitched roof covered with graded grey slate, which was originally thatched. The building is 1½ storeys high and has two windows. A gabled central porch has been added, and there is a rear wing that is also 1½ storeys tall and consists of one room. The wooden windows have been replaced but remain in their original openings. A chimney is located at the ridge of the roof. Inside, the layout follows a lobby entrance plan and includes altered back-to-back inglenook fireplaces, a staircase positioned behind the stack, and some chamfered oak beams.
