Description
Holly Cottage is an early 19th-century cottage constructed of English garden wall bond brown brick, topped with a grey slate roof featuring a dentil band at the eaves and plain flush verges. The building is almost symmetrical, standing two storeys high with four windows. The front door has two fielded upper panels and two reeded flush lower panels, framed by a panelled doorcase with an unmoulded wooden pediment. The inner windows on both storeys are 12-pane flush sashes, while the outer windows are smaller replaced casements. All windows have wedge lintels and projecting sills made of painted stone. There are two brick ridge chimneys. A triangular oriel window from the late 20th century has been added to the left gable wall. The interior has not been inspected.
