Description
This building is a former cottage and coach/cartshed, now serving as a farm building, located 30 metres east of Manor Farmhouse in Frodsham. It dates from the early 19th century and is constructed of brick with a graded grey slate roof. The structure features two boarded doors, one framed in a moulded architrave and the other beneath a skewback cambered arch. There are two small pane casements under skewback arches on the lower storey and four on the upper storey, two of which have been altered. A loading door provides access to the loft, and there is a coach doorway under a basket arch along with an inserted cart opening. The two chimneys have been cut off at ridge level. This building is noted for its group value, as it is part of a now rare survival of a farmstead on the main street of a small town.
