Description

Cedar House is a detached suburban villa, originally dating to around 1860, with extensions added around 1900. The building is rendered and has a hipped grey slate roof. It is two storeys high and comprises a left wing of two windows, with a later added doorway. The front door features six bolection panels set within an Ionic case with an eared architrave, pilasters, and a segmental pediment. There are two eight-pane sashes to the left of the entrance and two to the right, alongside an inserted door and a two-window bay. Similar eight-pane sashes are present on the first floor, with two six-pane sashes in architrave cases. A pediment gable is also visible. The north face, overlooking the Dee, has three canted bay windows with sashes and round-arched sashes. A frieze and cornice run along all sides of the house, and there are four rendered chimneys. The interior has not been inspected.
