Description
Four Lane Ends Farmhouse is a mid-18th century farmhouse built of red Flemish bond brick with a slate roof. It has two storeys and an attic. The entrance front features chamfered stone quoins at the corners and is arranged in three symmetrical bays. The central doorway on the ground floor is flanked by a 19th-century gabled wooden porch and a half-glazed 19th-century door. On either side of the doorway are window openings with stone sills and wedge lintels designed to mimic chamfered rustication, complete with keystones. The first floor has three similar windows, all now fitted with 19th or 20th-century two-light casements. The gable ends have stone kneelers and coping, along with cambered-headed window openings.
