Description

Rook's Nest is a house dating from the early 18th century. It is built of rendered sandstone and features a thatched roof. The house has two storeys and a two-cell plan. The entrance front consists of two bays, with a 19th-century door on the left, which is sheltered by a 19th-century gabled porch. To the right of the door are two 2-light windows, and on the first floor, there are two gabled 2-light half-dormer windows. A ridge stack is located on the right side of the roof. There are 19th-century additions to the left-hand side and the rear of the house. Inside, the parlour includes an inglenook fireplace and chamfered ceiling beams.
