Description

A pair of terraced houses dating from the mid-19th century, located on High Street, Tarporley. The houses are built of red Flemish bond brick, with an ashlar plinth and have slate roofs. The front elevation has five bays. An ashlar plinth with a chamfered top runs along the base. Recessed doorways are located in the second and fifth bays from the left, each with a stuccoed Tudor hood mould, a feature repeated above all the openings on the front. The doors are 20th-century replacements. Four-light windows with decorative glazing bars, arranged in lozenge shapes, are present in the first and fourth bays from the left, a design repeated in all the windows. A three-light window is centrally placed. The first floor windows are three-light windows in the first, third, and fourth bays from the left, with two-light windows in the second and fifth bays. Chimney stacks rise from the ridge, located to the right of the centre and left.
