Description
This is a house located at 64 High Street, dating from the mid-18th century. It is constructed of rendered and pebbledashed brick and features a slate roof. The building has two storeys and an entrance front with two bays that were likely originally arranged symmetrically. There is a slightly projecting plinth and a central doorway on the ground floor, which has a panelled doorcase with an open pediment, a rectangular overlight, and a door made of six raised and fielded panels.
To the right of the doorway is a 19th-century shop window that wraps around the corner, while to the left is a window with four by four sash panes, complete with exposed sash boxes. The first floor has two similar windows. The gable ends of the house feature stone kneelers and coping, with a gable stack on the left side. The rear of the building displays Flemish bond brickwork, with red sandstone ashlar flush quoins at the corners and a flush band above the first floor windows.
