Description

The Vicarage is a late 18th/early 19th century and mid-19th century building located on Nantwich Road, Tilstone Fearnall. It is constructed of red Flemish bond brick with stone dressings and has a slate roof. The building is two storeys high. The front features a projecting mid-19th century wing on the left, which has cross-windows on both floors and a hipped roof. To the right of this wing is a four-bay portion dating to the late 18th/early 19th century. This section has an arched doorway at the far left, topped by a fanlight; to the right of the doorway is a window with 4 x 4 panes, a wedge lintel, and a stone sill. The first floor of this section has a 3 x 3 pane window on the left and a two-light casement window to the right. The two bays to the right of this have similar windows with 6 x 4 panes on each floor. All window openings on the front have stone sills and wedge lintels. This building possesses group value.
