Description

The remains of a chapel, believed to date from the 13th century, are located west of Chapelhouse Farm in Wervin. The structure is built from red sandstone coursed rubble. The northeast angle of the chapel stands to a height of 14 courses, while the southeast angle reaches 8 courses. The east wall is hollow up to the cill height, above which there are fragments of a window opening. Both the interior and exterior feature chamfered cills, and there is part of a moulded rebate for the window opening. This site is designated as a Scheduled Monument.
