Description

The farm buildings at Chorlton Lodge Farm date from the 17th century and are constructed from red sandstone with slate roofs. The buildings form an L-shaped block. The stable range features seven stable doors and six altered windows, with eight upper floor openings alternating with seven pairs of vertical ventilation slits. The cart house includes an arched opening, and there are external stone steps leading to the loft at the left end. The barn range has tall double doors, two ground floor doorways, and three upper openings. The gables are topped with stone coping.
