Description
Pump Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the late 17th century to the early 18th century, with alterations made in 1841 and later. It is constructed of brown brick and features a steeply pitched slate roof. The building has two storeys with attics and a double pile layout. On the front, there are four windows with cambered heads and stone cills, all of which have been replaced, with two recently unblocked. The garden side includes one first-floor iron casement window with Gothic glazing bars, and a similar window is located on the yard side at the second floor. Brick stacks are situated in the central valley, and there are brick bands on the first and second floors. An iron downspout, dated 1841, is also present. The interior retains some beams, but it has otherwise been gutted and remodelled.
