Description

Densions Bridge is a bridge built around 1795 over the Shropshire Union (Ellesmere) Canal. It follows the canal company's standard design for minor road bridges. The structure is made of brown brick in English Bond. The arch is slightly more than a semi-ellipse. At road level, there is a two-course plain brick band. The parapet features plain near-flush sandstone coping, and the abutments have a noticeable batter.
