Description
Oak Tree Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the late 16th century to early 17th century, with later additions. It features a timber frame with rendered infill and has a thatched and slate roof. The building has a baffle-entry plan and stands two storeys high. The entrance front shows the earliest portion on the right, with a later 17th-century section to the left. The earliest part has 12 by 3 cells of small framing and tension bracing on the left side. The left section consists of 9 by 3 cells of small framing. There are single and three-light windows on the ground floor, along with a four-light casement on the left. A 19th-century door is located to the right, with a gabled and glazed 19th-century porch in front. A single ridge chimney stack is positioned to the right over the doorway. The right gable end features 5 by 3 cells of small framing, with angle braces, queen posts, and angle and V-struts in the gable. A 19th-century wing is attached to the rear.
