Description

HANKELOW C.P. HANKELOW GREEN SJ 64 NE 4/50 The Green Farmhouse - - II Farmhouse. Early/mid C18. Red Flemish bond brick with plain tile roof. Two storeys and attic. T-shaped plan. Entrance front: 5 bays symmetrically disposed. Slightly projecting plinth. Band of 2 bricks depth between ground and first floors. To the centre of the ground floor is a C19 doorway with a C19 gabled porch supported on brackets, the door having a C19 head which projects up into the brick bind. To either side are narrow sash windows with stone sills and flat arched heads and to the far left and right are 4-pane sash windows with stone sills and flat-arched heads (all of the sashes are of C19 date). Similar windows to the first floor with a 4-pane sash window to the centre. The narrow sash windows are there blocked. Gable stacks to either side. The right hand gable end has bands of 2 bricks depth between the ground and first floors and first floor and gable. Single-light casement windows to ground, first and attic floors. Similar arrangement to the left hand gable end. The rear has a projecting central gabled wing. All the gables have ashlar springers.
