Description

The Green Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the early to mid-18th century. It is constructed of red Flemish bond brick and has a plain tile roof. The building is two storeys high with an attic and features a T-shaped plan.

The entrance front has five bays that are symmetrically arranged. There is a slightly projecting plinth and a band of two bricks in depth between the ground and first floors. The central ground floor has a 19th-century doorway with a gabled porch supported on brackets. The door features a 19th-century head that extends into the brick band. On either side of the doorway are narrow sash windows with stone sills and flat-arched heads, along with 4-pane sash windows at the far left and right, all of which date from the 19th century. The first floor has similar windows, with a 4-pane sash window in the centre. The narrow sash windows on the ground floor are blocked.

There are gable stacks on either side of the building. The right gable end has bands of two bricks in depth between the ground and first floors, as well as between the first floor and the gable. It features single-light casement windows on the ground, first, and attic floors. The left gable end has a similar arrangement. At the rear of the farmhouse, there is a projecting central gabled wing, and all the gables have ashlar springers.
