Description

Northwoods Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the early to mid-18th century. It is constructed of red Flemish bond brick and features a plain tiled roof. The building has three storeys and an entrance front with three bays. The ground floor includes a doorway positioned to the right of centre, featuring a 4-panel 19th-century door and a 19th-century gabled porch. To the right of the door is a 3-light window with a flat lintel, while to the left are two 4-light windows with cambered heads. There is a band of two bricks' depth between the ground and first floors, which is followed by three similar 4-light cambered-headed windows on the first floor. The second floor has three additional 4-light casement windows with flat lintels. The eaves are decorated with a toothed band, and there are three chimney stacks made of 20th-century brick located at the right and left gable ends and to the right of centre. The right gable end features a lean-to at ground floor level and a band of two bricks' depth between the first and attic storeys. The left gable end has two bands between the ground and first floors and between the second floor and attic. The rear of the farmhouse includes a projecting gabled wing on the left and a band between the ground and first floors.
