Description
Hall Cottage and the attached coach house, which were part of the former Bradwall Hall, likely date from the 17th century and have been altered over time. The building features irregular bond brown brickwork, which probably replaced an original oak frame, and has a brown tile roof. The cottage is two stories tall and has three windows, with small 6-pane wooden casements that are typical of the 19th century vernacular style. A chimney is located at the front of the ridge with an axial stack. Although the interior of the cottage has not been fully inspected, some features such as chamfered oak beams and an ingle nook with an oak bressumer can be seen. The coach house, which forms a cross-wing to the left of the cottage, has an oak-framed north end-gable but is mainly constructed of brown brick and also has a brown tile roof. It features two rebated camber-arched coach openings on its left side.
