Description

A range of terraced houses dating from 1850 to 1851, located on Congleton Road. The houses are built of red brick with a stone base and a single string course. They are two storeys high, with one sash window to each floor, most lacking glazing bars, set within shallow brick recesses. A prominent feature is a semicircular casement window at the centre of the first floor and some ground-floor windows with louvred shutters. The central feature includes a five-centred arch leading under the building and a pedimented gable above. Doorways are framed by plain surrounds incorporating scrolls, keyblocks, rectangular fanlights, and generally, four-panelled doors. A plain wooden eaves cornice and tiles complete the exterior.
