Description
Holly Cottage is a farmhouse dating from the late 17th century to early 18th century, with a 20th-century addition on the right. It is constructed of coursed squared buff sandstone rubble and features a Kerridge stone-slate roof, stone ridge, and two brick chimneys. The building has a long rectangular plan and a two-storey, four-bay front for the original house. On the ground floor, there are two tall, four-light chamfered stone mullion windows and one repaired two-light window. To the right, there is a gabled porch. The upper floor includes one five-light window, one three-light window, and one two-light window. The two bays added to the right in the 20th century are designed to be in keeping with the original structure.
