Description

Winterfold Farmhouse and attached barn are a late 17th-century farmhouse with 19th-century alterations. The buildings are constructed of coursed squared buff sandstone rubble, with a Kerridge stone-slate roof and a brick chimney. They have a long rectangular plan, consisting of a 2-room gable-entry cottage to the south and a barn to the north.

The east front is two storeys high, with three bays. It features three 2-light wooden casements with glazing bars to the left, and an 8-board door leading to the barn on the right. The south gable has an 8-board door to the house and a 2-light wooden casement serving as a fire window.

The interior retains the original plan, with intact roof structure. While some heck posts and screens have been replaced, two chamfered ceiling beams with flat stops remain.
