Description

Milepost, dating from around 1830. It is made of cast iron and features a round post topped with a domed finial. The curved plate displays the following distances: Holmes Chapel 6 miles, Knutsford 2 miles, Brereton Green 8 miles, Altrincham 9 miles, Church Lawton 14½ miles, Manchester 17 miles, and Newcastle 21 miles.
