Description

This is a road bridge from the mid-19th century that carries the drive to Toft Hall over a lake. It features ashlar facing with brick used for the underside of the arches. The bridge has three cambered arches and curved retaining walls on either side. The arches are accented with rusticated quoins and pilaster strips that extend through the parapet to the coping. The spandrels have raised and fielded panels adorned with fan motifs at the right angles. Below the parapet, there is a plain band with moulded coping, and the retaining walls are shaped in a quadrant form on either side.
