Description

The Laundry Building, constructed in 1909, is part of a group of 13 terraced houses located in Lady Mary's Square, Rosetherne. The buildings are made of rendered brick and topped with slate roofs, forming three sides of a rectangle. They are primarily two storeys high, with two central houses rising to three storeys.

The facade features a laundry block at the end of the right-hand wing, which has three bays on the ground floor, including central double doors, and two bays on the upper floor with gables above. At the end of the left wing is a house with three bays and a gabled porch. The remaining houses are two bays on the ground floor, each with paired doors that share a large gabled porch, except for the inner corners where lean-to porches are present.

The two central houses each have three storeys, with front doors located at the extreme left and right, sharing a porch with their neighbouring houses. Each house features a three-light casement window on the ground floor, a four-light casement window on the first floor, and a three-light casement window in the gable on the second floor. The lateral houses also have a three-light window next to the front door and a four-light casement window on the first floor under a gable.

The central houses display shields at mezzanine level between the ground and first floors. The shield on the right is inscribed "E of T" (Egerton of Tatton) 1909, topped with a coronet, while the other is armigerous, also with a coronet and the motto "SIC DONEC." All windows are original.
