Description
The barn at Dairy House, originally listed as the barn at Manor House Farm, dates from the 17th century. It is timber framed with brick infill and has a plain tile roof, standing two storeys tall with a curved plan. The front facing the road features to the right eight cells of uneven small framing, supported by three angle braces and three tension braces. To the left, there is 19th-century walling that has replaced the original timber framing, and at the far right, there is a late 19th-century or early 20th-century addition. The rear of the barn has fifteen cells of uneven small framing set on a deep plinth, with three angle braces. There are double doors on the right, a single door on the left, and a loft door to the right of centre. Inside, the barn has jowled posts that support queen post trusses.
