Description

The grotto, located about 30 yards west of Rode Hall, dates from the 18th or 19th century. It is constructed from red brick and rubble, featuring a design that includes boulders arranged around a barrel-vaulted tunnel made of brick. The tunnel is decorated with plaster that is embedded with sea shells.
