Description

This is a parish boundary stone dated 1789, made of buff sandstone. It is a rectangular block with a shaped top. The north-east face features a well-cut, serif letter "F" for Fallibroome, while the south-west face displays the letter "M" for Macclesfield along with the date 1789. This stone is of the same date and style as another example located 110 meters northeast of Trugs Cottage on Alderley Road in Over Alderley. Part of this stone is situated in the former Macclesfield Urban District.
