Description
Flats Numbers 1, 2, and 3 at Prestbury Golf Club were originally a farmhouse, dating from the late 17th century with 18th-century additions and 20th-century alterations and extensions. The building features washed brick on a rubble base, topped with a Kerridge stone-slate roof, stone ridge, and two brick chimneys. It has a long rectangular plan and is two stories high with a seven-bay east front. A raised brick band marks the first floor. The left end bay is a 20th-century addition. The second bay includes a canted bay beneath a tall, four-light chamfered stone-mullioned window set in a gabled half dormer. The central gabled porch has similar four-light windows in the bay to the right, along with a blocked two-light fire window beyond, all under brick relieving arches. The right end features two bays that are 18th-century additions, which include one three-light and one two-light chamfered stone-mullioned window, along with two 20th-century insertions. Inside, timber-framed partition walls and exposed ceiling beams can be seen in the oldest part of the building.
