Description
The Methodist Church on Hospital Street was built around 1808, with a facade added in 1876. The building is made of red brick with stone dressings and features two storeys and a gabled roof. The facade includes two semi-circular headed windows with leaded lights, set within moulded arched recesses, along with a round window. There are also two semi-circular headed doorways framed by moulded stone architraves, complete with keyblocks and radial fanlights, all situated in a recess topped by a corbel table. The sides of the facade are accentuated by pilasters and convex wings. Inside, the church has a tiered horse-shoe gallery.
