Cemetery chapel. 1866. By S Stevens. Coursed and squared red sandstone with Westmorland slate roof and ashlar dressings. Robust Gothic style. Nave with gabled porches each side, octagonal narthex to north, tower and porch to south. Steep pointed arched doorway in porches each side of nave, and ornate ironwork hinges to doors. Rose windows in gable apexes. Two 2-light Decorated windows to south of porches each side, separated by buttresses. Gabled porch to south with stepped coped gable over steeply-pointed arched doors in each face of porch. Tower beyond porch, with wide base, chamfered above to stepped upper stage. Clasping buttresses to lower stage, terminating in gablets. Thin recessed spire with 2 tiers of lucarnes. Half-octagonal narthex to north with rose windows in each of 3 gables.
