Description

Whitfield House is a house dating to circa 1838. It is constructed of ashlar with a slate roof. The house is two storeys high and has a three-window front, with the central bay slightly projecting and topped by a shallow pediment containing plain acroteria. The central entrance is within a segmentally-arched, moulded wooden doorcase featuring a traceried fanlight above a four-panelled door. The windows are 12-pane sashes with continuous sill bands. The building has plain pilasters at the corners, a moulded eaves cornice and a blocking course. The garden front is similar in design.
