Description

Brook Farm Cottage is a former barn that has been converted into a cottage, dating from the early 17th century. It features a brick nogged timber frame and a slate roof. The building is two storeys high with two window bays and has a stone plinth. The framing is small with passing braces, and leaded casements have been inserted in the panels. The upper windows are located in gabled dormers that have barge boards. The entrance includes a framed, ledged, and battened door. Inside, the cottage has exposed purlins with wind braces.
