Description
This is a row of three cottages located at 7, 9, and 11 Church View, built in the early 19th century with later alterations. The cottages are constructed from red brick and topped with slate roofs. They are two storeys high and consist of a total of four bays. The original half-glazed boarded doors have been replaced and are set in built-up door cases. The ground floor features 20th-century three-light casement windows with flat cambered arches, while the first floor has three-light flush casements with a single glazing bar and brick labels in two instances. There is a projecting band at the first floor and a brick dentil course at the eaves, along with a part sandstone ridge. The cottages have high standing party wall stacks. Inside, there are some cased beams, but the interiors have been generally modernised and do not hold special interest. These cottages are included for their group value.
