Description
Pickup Bank Sunday School is a single-storey building dated 1835, which was adapted as a chapel in 1860. The structure is made of sandstone with a dressed side wall and rubble elsewhere, featuring stone dressings and a slate roof. It has one chimney on the ridge and another at the right gable. The building is rectangular and includes six large round-headed windows, each with imposts and keystones, although all have later glazing, and one window currently lacks glazing. On the right return wall, there is a matching doorway with double doors and a fanlight, above which is a simple panelled datestone that reads: "1835 PICKUP BANK SUNDAY SCHOOL BUILT BY SUBSCRIPTION." The rear wall also has similar windows. The interior was not inspected. This building is listed as a good example of its type and date.
