Description
Nos 2 to 12, Springfield Street, is a terrace of stone cottages likely dating from the mid-19th century. They have a slate roof and moulded stone eaves. The cottages are two storeys high. The doorways have stone frames, and most have boarded doors. There are eight windows on the upper floor and six below; five are sash windows and the others are replacements, all with stone sills. The property has two stone chimneys and three brick chimneys. Nos 2 to 12 (even) and Nos 7 to 11 (odd) form a street group which marks the entrance to a park, Griffin Park, and includes stone setts in the roadway.
