Description
Nos 10 to 16 on Little Horton Green are a group of sandstone cottages built in an L-plan layout around 1800 to 1830. These cottages were constructed partly as "back to backs" and feature stone slate roofs, with hipped roofs over the slightly earlier Nos 10 to 13. The central elevation of No 14, which faces south, is slightly recessed. The eaves have paired block brackets supporting wooden gutters, and there are corniced chimneys.
Nos 10 to 13 have squared surrounds with single and two-light square mullioned windows, while No 13 has three-light windows on both floors. The doorways are squared with six-panel doors. Nos 14 to 16 feature squared surround sashes with later 19th-century glazing and also have six-panel doors.
