Description
The garden walls and piers located to the east of Doxford House are 19th-century structures that were altered around 1900. These serpentine walls extend from the forebuilding of Doxford House along the eastern side of the garden and grounds, continuing south to the lodge and north to the gate piers at the rear entrance. The walls are constructed of rubble with ashlar coping and are quite high, ending in square ashlar piers topped with low pyramidal coping. Each pier features wrought-iron lamp holders mounted on brackets.
