Description

Dairy Cottage is an early 19th-century house located on the east side of the B1322 in Seaton Valley. It is constructed from sandstone rubble with tooled quoins and features a Welsh slate roof. The cottage has yellow brick chimneys adorned with dog-tooth cornices and yellow pots. It is a single-storey building with four bays. The third bay contains a joined boarded door set within a lattice wooden porch that has a segmental canopy. The door and the sash windows, which have late 19th-century glazing bars, are topped with roughly-tooled flat stone lintels and have projecting stone sills. The low-pitched hipped roof is complemented by two ridge chimneys.
