Description
East House Farmhouse is a late 18th-century farmhouse located on the west side of Longbenton. It features coursed squared sandstone with roughly-coursed rubble on the returns and rear. The roof is pantiled, with stone gable copings and two brick chimneys that have cornices. The building is two storeys high and has three windows, along with a set-back one-storey wing on the right that has one window. The central entrance consists of a four-panelled door with an ornamental overlight above it. The sash windows, which have glazing bars, are adorned with flat stone lintels and projecting stone sills. The set-back wing includes two windows and a Dutch door located in the right return beneath an asymmetrical gable.
