Description

This ice house, located about 150 metres east of North Lodge in Gosforth Park, dates from the late 18th century. It is constructed from sandstone and brick, with an earth mound covering it. The structure features a stone entrance leading to a brick dome that covers a sandstone well. The later brick pillars and bars in front of the entrance are not considered of interest.
