Description

This is a terrace of four houses, numbered 3 to 7, located in St Thomas' Terrace, Newcastle upon Tyne. The terrace dates to around 1842 and was restored in approximately 1982. It is constructed of English bond brick with ashlar dressings, and has Welsh slate roofs. The houses have a basement and two stories. Each house is three bays wide, with the central house projecting slightly. Nosed steps lead to four- and six-panelled front doors, each with a three-pane overlight set in an architrave. The central house has architraves to its ground floor windows. All other windows have wedge stone lintels, are sash windows with glazing bars, and incorporate ground floor aprons and first-floor sill bands. Ashlar-corniced chimneys rise from the ridge. The terrace includes bays returning to numbers 25 St. Thomas' Street and 18 St. Thomas' Crescent.
