Description

Carter's Well, located opposite the Methodist Church Hall on Durham Road, dates from the later 19th century. It features a cast iron shaft topped with a cornice and a domed cap. The well has a moulded base set on a stone step. There is a spring handle on the north side and a spout, which is chipped, on the east side above a stone dog trough.
