Description
Nos. 28 and 29 Silver Street are late 17th century or early 18th century buildings that have been altered. They are two storeys tall, with No. 28 featuring three windows and No. 29 having only one window on each floor. The buildings are constructed of painted brick and were originally two storeys, as indicated by the overlapped courses above the first floor that have been built upon. There is a new early 19th century overlapped brick eaves cornice positioned higher up. The roofs are covered with pantiles and include two dormers; No. 28 has a tripartite dormer with glazing bar sashes. No. 28 also features late glazing sash windows on the first floor, while No. 29 has a wide modern casement window. Both buildings have modern shop fronts and a cross gable at the rear. A central through passage leads to the Wasp's Nest Yard.
