Description

This is an 18th-century building on High Street, Yarm, with alterations made later. The facades are roughly rendered, with a stepped second-floor band; No. 18 also has a first-floor band. The roofs of Nos. 20 and 22 are covered with pantiles, while the roof of No. 18 has clay tiles. A single ridge chimney is present. Each section of the building is three storeys high and has two windows. The windows of the late 19th and early 20th centuries have stucco lintels and stone sills. A canted bay window is on the ground floor of No. 22. A modern door has been installed at No. 18, while the others have six- and four-panel doors with oblong fanlights set within pilaster-and-entablature surrounds.
